Performance and Monitoring Analyst

Position Title: Performance and Monitoring Analyst (US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Monitor and analyze the performance of IT systems applications networks and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Utilize performance monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds Dynatrace Nagios Splunk) to collect and analyze system metrics identifying trends bottlenecks and potential issues before they impact operations.
• Develop and implement monitoring solutions to proactively detect performance degradation and system failures.
• Create and manage realtime dashboards and performance reports for stakeholders including IT teams business units and senior leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis of performance issues working with technical teams to resolve and prevent future occurrences.
• Conduct capacity planning and ensure systems are adequately scaled to handle current and future demands.
• Configure and optimize monitoring tools to ensure comprehensive coverage of all critical systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development infrastructure and operations teams to optimize system performance through tuning adjustments and recommendations.
• Document monitoring processes performance baseline metrics and incident resolution procedures.
• Perform regular system performance testing load testing and stress testing to evaluate system limits and ensure system reliability under high traffic or load conditions.
• Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of escalated performance issues including high latency downtime and system crashes.
• Establish and maintain thresholds and alerts to ensure early detection of performance problems.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans focusing on system performance during recovery processes.
• Provide training and guidance to IT staff on performance monitoring best practices tools and techniques.
• Ensure continuous improvement by recommending and implementing new performance optimization strategies.

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in performance monitoring IT systems administration or application performance management.
• Handson experience with performance monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds Dynatrace Nagios Prometheus or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of system performance metrics (e.g. CPU memory disk network usage) and application performance metrics (e.g. response time throughput error rates).
• Strong experience with analyzing system logs and identifying performance issues using tools like Splunk ELK stack or similar.
• Experience in cloudbased environments (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and monitoring performance in cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of databases web servers application servers and network protocols (e.g. HTTP TCP/IP) and how they impact system performance.
• Experience with performance tuning load balancing and highavailability configurations.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell) for automating monitoring tasks and analyzing large datasets.
• Ability to analyze complex technical data and present findings in a clear and actionable way to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
