Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Security Architect (US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement security frameworks and solutions for cloudbased systems services and applications. Ensure the application of best practices for securing cloud infrastructures including identity and access management (IAM) encryption network security and vulnerability management.
- Perform cloud risk assessments and threat modeling identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing security controls to mitigate risks. Conduct security audits ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA SOC 2) and establish reporting metrics for cloud security risks.
- Develop enforce and update cloud security policies standards and guidelines to align with organizational security goals and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with engineering DevOps and other teams to ensure secure cloud adoption and deployments.
Provide expert advice on cloud security during project planning development and deployment. - Respond to and investigate cloud security incidents provide postevent analysis and implement remediation steps.
Identify root causes and offer guidance for future preventative measures. - Stay current on the latest cloud security trends technologies and threats.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to strengthen cloud security posture. - Lead initiatives for automating cloud security processes including security monitoring compliance reporting and incident response workflows.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM AWS Certified Security Specialty) is a plus.
- Experience in cybersecurity or cloud security with at least 2 years focused specifically on cloud security architecture.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar.
Expertise in securing SaaS PaaS and IaaS cloud environments. - Strong knowledge of cloud security principles including data encryption network security identity and access management (IAM) and threat detection.
Experience with cloudnative security tools such as AWS Shield Azure Security Center or GCP Security Command Center. - Proficiency with security technologies like firewalls intrusion detection systems (IDS) antimalware solutions and SIEM platforms.
- AWS Certified Security Specialty
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
