Job Description

Work Schedule:
This is a hybrid position requiring inoffice attendance 3 days a week with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week (subject to business needs). Note that office reporting requirements may adjust based on organizational priorities.

Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Drafter you will play a pivotal role in the development of an innovative medical imaging device. Working closely with the Engineering and Quality teams you will translate design concepts into precise CAD models fabrication drawings and comprehensive documentation. This role is ideal for a detailoriented professional passionate about advancing medical technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate: Work with Engineering and Quality teams to capture and translate design outputs for a novel medical device.
  • Document: Create and manage CAD models fabrication drawings procedures specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Ensure Quality: Accurately manage documentation within a Quality Management System (QMS).

Expected Deliverables:

  • Develop and maintain a precise 3D CAD model of a complex medical device.
  • Create and manage detailed fabrication drawings for all device components.
  • Generate and organize comprehensive specification documents.
  • Build and oversee structured BOMs.
  • Maintain all documentation compliance with QMS standards.

Qualifications:

MustHave:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience drafting machined casted sheet metal or plastic molded components.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing and drafting complex 3D systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Handson experience with BOM structures Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and documentation within a QMS.

NicetoHave:

  • Experience in mechanical design for medical devices.
  • Familiarity with cable drawings and electricalmechanical interfaces.
