Job Description
Position Name: RN Unit Manager
Location: Lebanon PA 17042
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $60/hr
Schedule: 32 hours
Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate experienced and dedicated RN Unit Manager to oversee and manage nursing operations on the unit. As a Unit Manager you will be responsible for ensuring highquality patient care leading and mentoring nursing staff and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. You will serve as a leader in the clinical setting collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work closely with patients and their families to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage daily nursing operations within the unit ensuring adherence to care standards policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff providing guidance education and performance evaluations.
- Oversee patient care plans assess patient conditions and provide direct nursing care as needed.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Address patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation for patient care unit performance and regulatory purposes.
- Develop and implement staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff physicians and administrative personnel.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in PA.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; Masters degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g. JCAHO).
- Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a dynamic fastpaced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare software systems.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS BLS or specialty certifications.
- Experience (e.g. ICU Geriatrics Surgical Unit).
