The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is partnering with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to launch Connecticuts first digital drivers license as part of the Governors vision.
This exciting initiative is in its early stages and offers a unique opportunity for a Project Manager to lead a highprofile project. The Project Manager will manage all aspects of the project from initiation to closure and lead a crossfunctional team of agency stakeholders business users IT professionals and vendors.

The scope of assignments may evolve either scaling down or expanding as projects progress through different phases. The contract employee shall be expected to maintain and provide written documentation on any work performed in conjunction with this engagement.
The engagement will be for a term of up to 12 months. All work will be performed in eight (8) hour shifts Monday to Friday excluding State holidays. Consultant must be available and working during core state working hours Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. Some liberty may be given to flex daily hours up or down based on business need not to exceed a total of 40 hours per week. Payment will be on a time and material basis and paid only for actual hours worked.
Consultant must be willing and available to travel into the DMV Wethersfield office three times per week. Local travel reimbursement is not provided.
The contractor must provide their own laptop webcam and highspeed internet (if working remotely) to perform their duties. Consultant must be on camera during virtual meetings. All software licenses and access will be provisioned by the State of Connecticut.
Information accessible by the contractor may be sensitive confidential or subject to the Privacy Act and/or HIPAA considerations. Contractor personnel must be familiar with and comply with the provisions of appropriate regulations and/or instructions. Signing of a confidentiality agreement will be required. Daily signin to the facility may be required. The contractor employee must always display an access badge while present in state facilities. A background check will be required.
