Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Architect
Location: Fairfax Virginia (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop highquality cloud architecture solutions that align with organizational requirements and enterprise architectural standards.
- Collaborate with business owners analysts architects development teams and infrastructure services to define and establish application and data architecture standards policies and directions.
- Implement and utilize cloud technologies focusing on Microsoft Azure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
- Ensure all cloud architecture solutions comply with Fairfax County standards including integration with offerings from major Cloud Service Providers.
- Develop and apply cloud strategies processes and standards to enhance the effectiveness of cloud applications and infrastructure.
- Design and oversee the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Utilize scripting languages (Bash Shell PowerShell) and manage version control using GIT.
- Apply CI/CD practices to streamline and automate cloud deployment processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in cloud architecture with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (e.g. Ubuntu) and development using .NET and PHP.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash Shell and PowerShell.
- Skilled in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
- Strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to establish and communicate cloud architecture standards and policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with enterpriselevel cloud implementations and integrations.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to drive complex cloud architecture projects.
