Job Description
Job Title: Python Developer (Junior and Midlevel)
Location: Remote
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team and work on government projects. The ideal candidate will have experience developing robust scalable applications in a secure and highly regulated environment. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams designing efficient algorithms and implementing solutions that adhere to federal compliance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain Pythonbased applications for federal projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders project managers and other team members to gather requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented code.
- Design and optimize algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Ensure application security and compliance with federal regulations (e.g. FISMA FedRAMP).
- Integrate Python applications with thirdparty systems and APIs.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development testing and production environments.
- Work with DevOps teams to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- 4 12 years of experience in Python development.
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming and Python libraries.
- Experience working on federal government projects or with agencies. Desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of federal compliance standards (e.g. FISMA FedRAMP NIST frameworks). Desirable but not mandatory
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Git CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in public sector projects or government contracting.
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) for fullstack development.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Security certifications like CISSP Security or similar.
