As a Project Controller you will be responsible for or overall Cost Engineering Planning and Scheduling for all assigned projects or other designated areas of responsibility within the project controls function. Your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Review and understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the Project including scope of services conditions of contract Project execution plan Project schedule scope of work etc. Verify and ensure completeness of the scope of work associated with the project.
- Prepare Project Control interface / coordination procedure on the Project
- Understand clearly the reporting requirements and develop reporting calendar for both planning and cost engineering
- Prepare and update schedules along with relevant backups and qualifications as required
- Prepare and update Schedule Basis Memorandum as required
- Derive schedule dates for the work activities and establish milestones in line with the project schedule
- Support the disciplines in developing their individual work plans and ensure time lines of activities are well within the project framework
- Review forecast dates in progress measurement system and ensure they are aligned to the Project requirements
- Review exceptions and issue exception reports to the disciplines
- Prepare progress and productivity and analyse the reasons for shortfall if any
- Review procurement activities and recommend corrective actions to procurement department in case of any deviations from project plan
- Identify and analyze deviations and trends against budgets and schedules investigate such deviations with the relevant group and advise the Manager Projects
- Log all change requests and coordinate with the Manager Projects for regularizing the scope changes budget transfers and schedule changes
- Prepare and issue reports as per the agreed reporting calendar in a timely manner
- Update maintain and issue Manpower Projection Plan based on inputs received from disciplines
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Strong communication skills in written and verbal
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Engineering or related field.
- 2 years of experience in project control cost management or project management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera or others).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in maritime or engineering sectors is a plus.
