Job Description
Role: Program Manager
Job Type: Fulltime permanent.
Job Location: London ON
Compensation Structure: 100k115k per annum depending on experience.
Job Summary: This position requires you to be able to quote the cost of tooling machinery and follow through the new projects and engineering changes. Lead problem solving and root cause analysis to assist manufacturing to achieve production and quality goals.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
- Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
- Support the Companys Goals and Objectives
- Serves in the capacity as Customer Representative
- Generate cost quote of new parts tooling and machinery
- Generate cost quote of engineering changes
- Coordinate and track engineering changes and prototype parts.
- Assist in the launch of tooling and machinery programs
- Lead APQP Process for new programs or program changes maintain timelines and open issues
- Review and direct CAD/blueprint proposal drawings and changes
- Review direct the change of tooling drawings
- Work with manufacturing and quality departments to improve processes part and efficiency
- Customer interface
- Attend department and or customer meeting as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Product Development
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and/or minimum 5 years work experience in tooling manufacturing and engineering
- Previous experience in cost quoting process preferred
- AIAG Core Tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and scanners
- Understanding of stamping and manufacturing processes and systems
- Understand and be able to read CAD and blueprint drawings
- Possess working knowledge of IATF16949 ISO 140001 and Q1 Compliance criteria
- GD & T knowledge
- Flex shift hours may be required to support role responsibilities over 3 shift operation
- Travel is primarily local during the business day although some outofthearea and overnight travel may be required.
