Job Description: Junior ServiceNow Developer (CMDB and Data Source Integration)
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Junior ServiceNow Developer with a focus on CMDB (Configuration Management Database) IT Asset Management (ITAM) and data source integration. As a Junior ServiceNow Developer you will be responsible for assisting in the development configuration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform specifically in the areas of CMDB ITAM and integrating various data sources.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and configuration of the ServiceNow platform with a primary focus on CMDB IT Asset Management and data source integration
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain data source integrations including but not limited to discovery tools asset management systems and other external data sources.
- Perform data mapping and transformation to ensure accurate and consistent data integration between ServiceNow and external systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB and data source integrations working closely with the support team and other developers.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of ServiceNow workflows business rules UI policies and other platform components.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of ServiceNow solutions.
- Stay uptodate with the latest ServiceNow features best practices and industry trends to continuously improve the platform and enhance its capabilities.
- Document technical specifications processes and procedures related to CMDB and data source integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and processes.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with ServiceNow platform specifically in CMDB Discovery and data source integration.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow development best practices and methodologies.
- Proficiency in JavaScript HTML CSS and other web technologies.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g. Certified System Administrator Certified Application Developer) are a plus.
