Job Description
Role: Customer Service Technical Content Editor
Location: Woodridge IL (Onsite)
Type: FTE
Mandate Domain: Automotive
JD : Customer Service Diagnostic Content Developer/Author
Skills :
Diagnostic tool EST/SDS/CAN analyzer/ DLB
Can understand functionality of features evolved in vehicle to diagnose possible causes of DTC
Good Knowledge of Fault code analysis
Arbortext with automobile background experience In Arbortext experience working with DITA and XML
Knowledge of CAN communication over OBD
Job Role
- Experienced in Diagnostics troubleshooting/Technical Writer with more than 2 years of experience
- Independently gather information from technical and nontechnical Subject Matter Experts to organize develop and write technical service content
- Handson experience with developing customer service fault code diagnostics documentation
- Knowledge of DITA XML authoring using Arbortext and graphics tool such as Adobe Illustrator
- Understanding of structured authoring (DITA)
- Hands on experience in vehicle electrical/electronic diagnostics
- Knowledge of diagnostics tools used in automobile for vehicle diagnosis
- Experience with service tools and its specifications used for vehicle servicing
- Knowledge of XML and DITA XML authoring using Arbortext
- Can understand vehicle electrical architecture fault codes finding & developing trouble shooting to resolve fault codes
- Knowledge of CAN communication over OBD
- Familiar with electric vehicle fault code diagnostics and aware of necessary precaution to take care of while handling high/low voltage connections
- Good understanding of Agile environment & alignment to Agile writing principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Can understand functionality of features evolved in vehicle to diagnose possible causes of DTC generated & to write appropriate step by step procedure to diagnose those DTCs
- Knowledge of writing programming procedures to program module parameters using any programming software tool
- The candidate must have bachelors degree from engineering
- Good Knowledge of Fault code analysis
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
- Knowledge of automotive system theory in any or all the following areas:
- Electronic and electrical fundamentals
- Fault code diagnostics
- Modern automotive systems
