Job Description
Job Title: Ruby on Rails Developer
Location: Harrisburg PA Onsite
Duration: Long term Contract
Job Summary:
Candidates must already be local (within 1 hour) of Harrisburg PA.
The application was written in Ruby on Rails and was running on AWS. Our client wants to port it over to .NET and run it on Azure. Our client will need an Architect who will design and oversee the migration from the AWS environment to the .NET/Azure platform.
Description:
Candidates will work under the direction of the projects Technical Lead and Application Architect to analyze write test and document code to implement system features and enhancements to convert an Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Azure cloud.

Preferred: Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and Solid principles
- Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion
- Knowledge of regulations related to digital accessibility (e.g. Section 508 ADA)
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
- Experience designing for platform technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript iOS Android)
- Experience applying WAIARIA authoring guidelines and best practices
- Experience optimizing for the accessibility features of the platform (HTML iOS Android)
- Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards
Preferred: Applicants with the following qualifications will be preferred:
- Experience incorporating accessibility tests into the development process
- Experience building digital products where compliance with accessibility standards is part of definition of done
- ASP.NET ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core for building web applications
- SQL Server / TSQL recent experience with Azure SQL.
- APIs and Integration RESTful APIs microservices and eventdriven architecture
- Testing frameworks
- XUnit/NUnit
- Prefer: Jasmine and Karma
- ORM such as Entity framework and Dapper
- Containerization
- Prefer: Docker
- Cloud services with implementation in .NET
- Azure Function
- Azure Queue
- Azure Storage
- Azure container registry
- Key Vault
- Tools
- Visual Studio with recent experience in VS2022 and VS Code
- Azure DevOps /Git
