Job Description
Job Title: Design Specialist / Creo Design
Location: Sterling Heights MI
Duration: 6Month Contract (with potential for extension)
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
We are seeking a Design Specialist II with expertise in Creo Design to join our team. The role involves design and drafting for both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment. This position will contribute to the development of complex wiring harnesses and electromechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draft electrical/electronic systems including both electrical and mechanicalaspects.
- Utilize schematic diagrams provided by electrical engineering to design and integrate wiring harness routing.
- Develop line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis housing designs and overall system integration.
- Produce CAD models and detailed drawings of electrical harness assemblies electromechanical components and installation plans.
- Collaborate within a data management system to ensure design integrity and accuracy.Other Duties:
- Work with electrical/electronic systems in a team environment.
- Leverage Creo CAD modeling and design expertise (minimum 2 years of experience required).
- Create and route designs for wiring harness assemblies utilizing Creo and Creo ProCable software.
- Apply knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards to ensure compliance in all designs.
- Work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment requiring strong teamwork communication and collaboration skills.
- Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of handson experience with Creo Design.
- Education:
- Associate degree in a relevant technical field with 4 years of experience or
- Bachelors degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Knowledge: Electrical engineering tools and electromechanical engineering principles.
