Title: SeniorCertified Business Analyst
The Florida Department of Education has posted a bid for a Business Analyst .
The incumbents must live in Florida and be available to work in Tallahassee Florida if required. The first week is spent in Tallahassee with onboarding. ISC will not pay for travel or any expenses for the week or any of times the consultant is asked to attended meeting in Tallahassee
Note: The staff augmentation consultants are required to be off the week of Christmas and New Year unless services are required with prior approval from division leadership. Please ensure that your candidates are aware of this prior to submitting them for this proposal.
Background
The Department is committed to providing high quality education services to all Florida students and requires IT Staff
Augmentation services to assist the Department and Technology staff in meeting that goal.
Minimum Qualifications of Candidate
The Department is seeking a Business Analyst professional with the following minimum qualifications (these
qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks):
Experience scheduling technical integrations involving multiple resource teams.
Experience organizing and facilitating training and/or technical presentations.
Experience facilitating business and technical analysis design and planning meetings.
5 Experience producing technical documentation related to requirements specifications design process
and data flow testing and training.
5 Years of experience with data consolidation editing and normalizing rules.
Understanding of State of Florida rules and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
Technical knowledge of web network infrastructure network communication and security preferred.
Deliverables/Tasks
The Business Analyst key deliverables include but are not limited to the following:
Assists in developing specifications as well as overall planning and management of projects.
Meets with leadership to provide status reports on a weekly basis and provides monthly written reports which
will include accomplishments areas of concern and recommended solutions.
Communicate project progress and information to team sponsor stakeholders and legislative body as
appropriate.
Ensures technical direction and standards are being followed.
Develops project plans and measures actual progress against the plans.
Assures that project documentation included the project plans budget risk plans communication plans
change controls logs and reports.
Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and
implementation of business solutions.
Manages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
Manages change control within the projects.
Obtains sponsor approval for changes to scope budget and schedule that affect the critical path.
Written documentation showing testing and verification of modifications to ensure that objectives are met.
