Job Description

Title: Facilities Specialist

Temp to Hire
Opening: 01
Pay Rate: $23$28 / hr on W2

Location: Los Angeles CA

The Facilities Specialist position will perform maintenance safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for the buildings employees & guests including:

Identifying maintenance schedules throughout multiple sites & performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.

Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas such as offices conference rooms parking lots and outdoor spaces & creating maintenance upkeep schedules

Scheduling routine and emergency repairs with outside vendors

Preparing facilities in preparation for inspections for compliance and safety inspections

Working with the Safety team to ensure proper security measures for the workplace including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.

Assisting employees and guests to prepare the facilities for events and meetings

Creating reports on maintenance repairs safety and other facility related issues for organizational leaders and other relevant staff

Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions

Collaborating with Director and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs

Should be available for oncall facility emergencies when needed

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing HVAC and other building systems

Proficiency with repair tools and techniques

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to speak with all levels of employees guests vendors and team members

Great time management organization and prioritization abilities

Keen attention to detail and efficient problemsolving skills

Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time

Ideal Facilities Specialist candidates likely have at least 35 years of onthejob training from previous roles.

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed facilities management coursework in a technical or trade school such as HVAC or plumbing.
