Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the insurance industry to hire an experienced Full Stack Developer. This position will provide technical consulting and support for application software development ensuring highquality and timely results. You will work closely with a team of experts passionate about innovative resultdriven technologies. This position is open for the followingLocation(s):Alpharetta Georgia; Birmingham Alabama; Chicago Illinois; Dallas Texas; Jacksonville Florida. What YOU will do:
- Provide technical consulting and support within your areas of expertise for application software development.
- Develop document and execute unit test cases ensuring quality and timely results.
- Identify and resolve complex technical problems with applications and processes.
- Conduct code and design reviews to maintain and improve code quality.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes.
- Lead projects plan resource needs and guide IS project teams in technical disciplines.
- Establish or finetune CI/CD pipelines and practices.
- Participate in daily standups retrospectives and knowledgesharing sessions.
- Research evaluate and recommend new technologies supporting proofofconcept activities.
- Develop technical specifications design documents and functional designs.
What YOU will bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in software development using Java.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience or appropriate technical certification.
- Expertise in Java/Spring framework (Spring and Spring Boot).
- Frontend experience with HTML5 Bootstrap CSS3 and responsive design.
- Experience developing/consuming Web Services (REST SOAP) and APIs.
- Strong skills in JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React) NPM HTML CSS Angular CLI Git and RxJS.
- Knowledge of cloud development practices.
- Proficiency in SQL XML JSON and other data constructs.
- Experience with container technology and AWS.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk AppDynamics and Grafana.
- Experience with code analyzers and scanning tools (SonarQube Veracode).
- Good understanding of SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Experience in Agile environments using Test Driven Development.
- Understanding of technical controls security concepts and SOX requirements.
- Preferably a good understanding of the insurance industry and related business practices.
