Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Tucson AZ 85723
Duration: 1 year
Start Date: August 2024
Shift Schedule: 44 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing out ofoperating room intubation services as part of core privileges.
- The Respiratory Therapist establishes and maintains responsibility for inpatient general internal medicine services.
- The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing rounds on the weekends facilitating transfers and taking and documenting telephone calls from patients and physicians.
- Able to perform independently basic and acute respiratory care administration of oxygen and aerosol therapy positive pressure devices (BIPAP CPAP & IPV) ventilator care to include advanced techniques i.e.; pressure control modality and associated ventilator adjustments and monitoring with/without graphs. Assists/Insures that appropriate recommendations are given to the physicians regarding changes in therapy.
Qualification:
License: Valid current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Respiratory Therapy (NRBC) in any state within the United States District of Columbia or the CommonWealth of Puerto Rico.
Certification: CPR/BLS Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU)
Experience: Must have a minimum of two years current experience in this field and recent Respiratory Therapy experience in a hospital setting including covering inpatient units ED and ICU.
