This is a remote position.
Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented and customerfocused Remote Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. In this role you will provide expert tax preparation services to a diverse clientele assisting them with tax planning filing and compliance. This position is fully remote offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.
**Responsibilities:**
Prepare federal and state individual income tax returns accurately and efficiently ensuring compliance with relevant tax codes.
Conduct thorough tax interviews with clients to gather essential information and assess their tax situation.
Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to calculate credits deductions and liabilities.
Explain tax laws and strategies to clients to optimize their tax outcomes and provide personalized tax planning guidance.
Maintain updated knowledge of tax regulations changes and IRS guidelines.
Address client questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner providing excellent customer service.
Safeguard client data and maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with data privacy standards.
**Requirements:**

Must obtain and maintain a valid **Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)** prior to beginning work.
Proven experience preparing individual tax returns is preferred.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in an understandable way.
Ability to manage time effectively in a remote setting and meet deadlines.
