Job Description

SEN Tutor Emotional Wellbeing Focus Southwark

An SEN Tutor is required in Southwark to provide targeted support for students emphasizing emotional wellbeing and resilience. This role is vital in helping students navigate their emotional challenges and develop coping strategies that will aid their overall personal and academic growth.

Position: SEN Tutor
Type: Parttime Temporary
Location: Southwark South London

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the school psychologist and the SEN team to create and implement tailored interventions that address the unique emotional challenges faced by each student.
  • Maintain detailed progress records to monitor student development adapting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their emotions and exploring their feelings.
  • Provide feedback and insights to parents and guardians keeping them informed about their childs progress and the strategies being implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing emotional wellbeing support in an educational setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively engage with students parents and colleagues.
  • A compassionate and patient approach with the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
