Job Description

Position: Senior Java and Database Developer
Location: Atlanta GA (30334)
Client: State of Georgia
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Senior Java and Database Developer to join a dynamic technical team focused on Child Welfare applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java and database expertise responsible for developing highquality software applications and ensuring seamless database integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Optimize SQL queries and manage databases like PostgreSQL and Oracle.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams performing code reviews and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement robust security measures and authentication mechanisms using KeyCloak.

Required Technical Skills:

  • 7 years of experience in Java with proficiency in Java 17 features.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with SQL databases PL/SQL and ORM tools like Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python).
  • Understanding of RESTful web services and security protocols (OAuth2.0 JWT).
