We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Consultant to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects comply with national environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices. As an expert in navigating regulatory challenges, you will play a key role in safeguarding our initiatives while fostering strong relationships with governmental agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to national environmental regulations, actively safeguarding our initiatives while promoting sustainable practices.
Expert Guidance: Provide expert advice on regulatory challenges and approvals, helping to streamline processes and facilitate project progress.
Government Liaison: Cultivate strong relationships with governmental agencies regarding compliance and policy issues, acting as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies.
Assessments and Audits: Conduct thorough regulatory assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations.
Stay Informed: Keep abreast of regulatory changes and developments to ensure our projects adapt in accordance with evolving legal frameworks.
Training Development: Develop comprehensive training materials for project staff on compliance requirements and best practices to enhance team knowledge and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Law, Policy, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of regulatory consulting experience, particularly within environmental projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of the field.
Regulatory Expertise: Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, with the ability to effectively interpret and apply legal frameworks to project activities.
Government Interaction: Proven experience in liaising with government agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with regulatory bodies.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for evaluating regulatory impacts on project activities and developing effective compliance frameworks.
Certification: Certification in Environmental Compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is preferred, alongside an Environmental Law certification or equivalent.
