SPECIFIC DUTIES/TASKS THE CONTRACTOR HCP SHALL PERFORM BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
The contract LPN is expected to perform essentially the same functions within the scope of acceptability for their professional standards as those required by Army or government service health care professionals of similar experience and in similar duty assignments as follows.
The contract LPN shall provide direct patient care services in an outpatient clinical setting including but not limited to the following:
Responsible for direct patient care.
Operates emergency resuscitative equipment to include AED during Rapid Response incidents.
Prepares all records and reports as may be required in support of services rendered and as required by the MTF Standard Operating Procedures Federal Law or Army Regulation. All written reports/documentation shall be legible and shall be considered property of the government.
Takes part in Quality Assurance and Process Improvement programs as required to meet the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (Joint Commission JC) standards.
Uses appropriate interview and observation skills to obtain pertinent patient information.
Able to recognize and respond appropriately to any deleterious changes in a patients condition.
Maintains clinical competency and increase knowledge by attending inservices and continuing education programs.
Completes clinic administrative forms and reports accurately and promptly.
Prepares patients for physical examination diagnostic tests procedures and/or surgical procedures and obtain laboratory specimens as needed to include venipuncture IV administration urine cauterization and EKGs.
Uses appropriate interview and observation skills to obtain pertinent patient information and assist in identifying patients needs and implementing the plan of care.
Documents care given and the patients response in the medical record. Communicate patients progress to patients families and members of the health care team.
Assist in patient/family education about disease processed pre and postoperative care diagnostic procedures equipment in use health maintenance illness prevention and actual and potential adverse reactions.
Performs treatments as ordered using aseptic technique and assist with procedures when necessary.
Recognizes reports and responds appropriately to any deleterious changes in a patients condition.
Prepare all records and reports as may be required in support of services rendered and as required by the MTF Standard Operating Procedures Federal Law or Army Regulation. All written reports/documentation shall be legible and shall be accurate.
Use and instruct others in the use of simple and specialized equipment appropriate to the clinical area.
Participates in clinic Quality Assurance and Process Improvement programs as required to meet the standards of the MTF and JC.
Assist the clinic physicians with clinical procedures.
Shall account for patients records lab requests and xrays utilized during performance of duties.

Participates in clinic Quality Assurance and Process Improvement programs as required to meet the standards of the MTF and JC.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must be comfortable in a fastpaced dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fastpaced demanding environment.
