Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer to take on advanced responsibilities in our growing development team. As a Senior MERN Stack Developer you will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering complex web applications. Your expertise will guide the development process influence technology choices and ensure the implementation of best practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable web applications ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Take ownership of multiple projects from concept through deployment working closely with stakeholders to define project scope timelines and deliverables.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and midlevel developers fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Establish and enforce coding standards best practices and efficient development workflows including code reviews and testing protocols.
- Oversee integration of thirdparty services and APIs ensuring seamless functionality and data flow.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance application efficiency and speed.
- Work collaboratively with product managers UI/UX designers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including system architecture APIs and user guides.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in development including CI/CD automated testing and DevOps methodologies.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and frameworks to keep the team updated on industry trends and innovations.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of professional experience in web development with a strong focus on the MERN stack.
- Expertise in JavaScript HTML CSS and RESTful APIs.
- Indepth knowledge of MongoDB Express.js React.js and Node.js.
- Proficient in frontend build tools (e.g. Webpack Babel) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Outstanding communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with TypeScript GraphQL or other modern frameworks/libraries.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience in leading or managing development teams.
