Job Description
Allied Healthcare is currently looking for a Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with at least 1 year of experience. This Occupational Therapist collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients and educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for maximizing independence as well as maintain accurate and uptodate patient records.
Class: POT
Start Date: 11/01/24
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Area: Newport News VA 23602
Unit: 102bed skilled nursing center Will also consider sign on bonuses relocation assistance and/or student loan repayment options.
Salary: $37 to $ 40 Per Hour (Based on Experience)
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
- Must hold a current license in the state of Virginia.
- Must possess and maintain proof of current BLS/CPR.
- Experience with longterm care and/or skilled nursing is preferred
Duties:
- Screens evaluates and develops programs for implementation for all patients as needed.
- Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides according to state guidelines.
- Develops effective occupational therapy treatment plans and goals to meet each patients needs.
- Collaborates/communicates effectively with other center team members to ensure optimal patient care and progress.
- Prioritizes responsibilities to ensure efficient clinical operations.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to attain productivity benchmark.
- Completes documentation/billing timely and accurately. Ensures MD orders are obtained according to company policy and procedure.
