Role Description:

We need a SENIOR IT Asset Manager with experience working with HAM & SAM in a Banking (FDIC/OCC) environment.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE RECENT BANKING ASSET MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH BOTH HAM/HARDWARE AND SAM/SOFTWARE ASSET MGT.

The IT Asset Manager has the responsibility to manage the banks technology hardware and associated software asset portfolios enterprise wide using ServiceNow HAM/SAM Pro to capture monitor record analyze and optimize hardware and software related assets. This role also will improve IT Asset Management through robust process improvements by applying Software/Hardware Asset Management principles and project management skills to maximize operational and financial efficiency. It is critical to foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure program compliance with FDIC GLBA and SOX regulations including the planning and remediation of noncompliant issues related to EOL and software licensing. He/She must have large bank experience which is regulated by the FDIC and/or OCC.

  • Develop and enforce asset lifecycle management policies and procedures aligned with the institutions strategic goals and regulatory requirements leveraging Servicenow ITAM module. Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on ITAM practices to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Establish strong partnerships with IT teams to successfully manage and maintain the data integrity and completeness of the IT asset inventory.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements related to IT asset management within the financial industry. Ensure that all ITAM practices and processes adhere to relevant compliance standards providing documentation and reporting as necessary.
  • Generate regular reports for senior leadership and stakeholders offering insights into IT asset performance compliance status risk KRIs and mitigation strategies.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and guiding the team in implementing changes.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstars internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
  • Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma GED or foreign equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of related work experience or 9 years of comparable work experience.
  • ITIL Helpdesk Institute (HDI) PMI Cisco or Microsoft Certifications preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in building IT Asset management framework.
  • 3 years program management experience.
  • Large bank (FDIC/OCC) experience required.
  • Good problemsolving skills.
  • Creative thinker to provide innovative solutions to complex development challenges.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other asset management systems.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment.
