Job Description

Safety Manager
Location: Manteca CA
Compensation: $120K $150K 15% bonus 9% 401K match excellent relocation package


Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a pionate and handson Safety Manager to join a Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer. You will oversee all Health and Safety (H&S) operations at a large plant with over 600 employees ensuring a safe and accidentfree workplace. You will play a key role in developing and nurturing the plant s safety culture managing a team of 10 (6 Safety 4 Security) and reporting directly to the Plant Manager as a key member of the Leadership Team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the plant s Health and Safety programs.
  • Develop and lead a longterm strategy to achieve H&S excellence.
  • Provide strategic leadership guidance and training to the Safety department managing personnel budgets and data.
  • Conduct accident investigations perform root cause ysis and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local state federal and corporate safety standards.
  • Build and manage safety committees to foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Plan implement and oversee all safety training programs.
  • Conduct risk essments and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Lead accident investigations identify root causes and enforce corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to promote safety awareness and drive continuous improvement in H&S practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • 7 years of Health & Safety experience in a medium to large manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant H&S regulations.
  • Expertise in conducting risk essments and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Proven experience in leading accident investigations and root cause ysis.
  • Lean or Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is a plus.
