HSE Technician needed immediately

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified HSE (Health Safety and Environmental) Technician to join our team. The HSE Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations across various job sites. This position involves working in the field for most of the shift and requires handson experience with field HSE audits safety equipment maintenance hazardous material management and effective communication ss.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Policies and Procedures: Design coordinate and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
• Workplace Inspections: Regularly inspect facilities work areas and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Risk essment: ess risks and benefits of safety alternatives and consider the longterm and shortterm impact of safety decisions.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate maintain certify inspect calibrate and oversee the installation of safety equipment onsite.
• Material Management: Oversee the collection packaging testing storing transporting and disposal of hazardous and nonhazardous materials and waste.
• Communication: Ensure effective communication between operational teams and HSE managers to maintain a high standard of safety awareness.
• Training: Organize and conduct regulatory training courses to ensure employees are wellinformed of safety protocols and procedures.
• Reporting: Record safety data and compile it into statistical yses and reports to support continuous safety improvement.
• Information Source: Serve as a source of information on health and safety rules and regulations to all team members.

Requirements:

• Bilingual: Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Certification: OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510 preferred.
• Field Experience: Extensive experience conducting field HSE audits and safety inspections.
• Communication Ss: Strong verbal and written communication ss to effectively interact with team members and management.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with the Project HSE Coordinator and another HSE Technician to maintain safety standards.

Schedule:

The position requires working 7 days a week with rotating fatigue days. Shifts will be 10 hours per day from Monday through Friday and 8 hours per day on Saturday and Sunday. This schedule is expected to continue through November.

About the Role:

As an HSE Technician you will be responsible for operating maintaining certifying inspecting calibrating and overseeing the installation of safety equipment. Additionally you will manage hazardous and nonhazardous materials conduct safety inspections implement safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations. This role is vital for promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace preventing accidents and minimizing risks ociated with industrial operations.
