JOB TITLE: Aerospace Final Line Mechanic I

LOCATION: Savannah GA

Summary:

• In a teamoriented environment install parts components lines and cables using required tools and specifications. Ensure all work meets specifications through final inspection.

• Assemble install and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components.

• Rig control cables linkages control surfaces landing gear and engines.

• Perform basic repairs including removing/replacing linkages and cutting/fitting system lines.

• Ensure quality and efficiency of installations; perform necessary rework for conformity.

• Install system lines valves and ducts to ensure leakfree systems.

• Use tools and equipment (e.g. permaswage pumps dies wrenches) for installations.

• Check work for defectfree installation before final inspection.

• Maintain required logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets DMTs).

• Keep a neat work area supporting FOD and 5S programs and adhering to safety regulations.

• Demonstrate manufacturing competencies in employee reviews.

• Support continuous improvement processes and may assist in flight tests for certification.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 1 year of aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g. auto mechanics heavy equipment). An A&P license may offset experience.

• Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

• Capable of performing basic drilling reaming and fitting parts. Must be able to climb ladders work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.
