Title: IT Project Manager/Program Manager

Duration: 12month contract

Visa: Green Card or US Citizen Only

Location: Lyons IL.

This position will manage projects to completion onbudget ontime engages internal clients and vendors in the initiation planning monitoring and closure of projects and project programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serve as Project /Program Manager on selected projects and primary liaison with clients and stakeholders for those projects.
2. Manage projects and programs from business case to project closure. Projects managed by the Information Technology Project Management team follow to varying degrees the PMI Inc. project management fundamentals found within the PMBOK Project Management Book of Knowledge and ancillary documentation.
3. Develop maintain and communicate project requirements plans and schedules with project and stakeholders.
4. Monitor project process and project output quality throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Conduct project closure e.g. postmortems for projects that are completed and those that are abandoned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 8 years experience managing complex projects required with a strong emphasis on technology infrastructure and deployment projects.
• Minimum of 8 years experience working with complex organizations that have academic research and/or revenuegenerating components required.
• Prior experience implementing customer management and/or engagement management platform(s) required.
• Experience with project management applications and systems required.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar work or dataflow modeling tools required.
• Experience with PMIs PMBOK and associated process and recommendations required. Familiarity with other project management methodologies a plus.
• Proven experience with Project Planning e.g. Work Breakdown Structures Risk Management and Stakeholder and Communication Management required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus maintaining good standing with PMI (Project Management Institute) throughout certification period.
• Must be familiar with relational database concepts.

• Must have excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
• Ability to work under pressure prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.

Must maintain confidentiality of information and respect client privacy.

Must have effective communication skills both oral and written.
