Job Description

Overview:

The Quality Inspector in the aerospace industry plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet the required quality standards particularly in the highly regulated and safetycritical aerospace sector. They are responsible for meticulously examining and testing aircraft components systems and processes to ensure they adhere to industry regulations safety standards and customer requirements. Their role is essential in maintaining the integrity and safety of aerospace products and upholding the reputation of the organization in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of aerospace components and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
  • Perform dimensional visual and functional inspections on aircraft parts and assemblies
  • Document inspection results and generate reports
  • Identify nonconformances and collaborate with relevant teams to address issues
  • Participate in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and processes
  • Utilize various measuring and testing equipment to perform inspections
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to address qualityrelated concerns
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Verify adherence to customer specifications and industry standards
  • Ensure alignment with AS9100 and other aerospace quality management systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality control processes
  • Provide guidance and training to production and quality personnel
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of aerospace regulations and standards
  • Resolve qualityrelated issues in a timely and effective manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related field
  • Proven experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulations including AS9100
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Certification in quality inspection (e.g. CQI CQT ASQ) is preferred
  • Strong understanding of metrology and inspection techniques
  • Familiarity with nondestructive testing (NDT) methods
  • Ability to use various inspection tools and equipment (e.g. CMM micrometers calipers)
  • Experience in conducting internal and external audits
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detailoriented and committed to upholding high standards of quality
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools
  • Adherence to safety protocols and quality best practices
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic aerospace environment
