Position Overview: The Director of Cloud Services will be responsible for overseeing and managing our cloud infrastructure strategy and operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and leadership skills to guide our cloud initiatives and ensure the successful deployment management and optimization of our cloud resources. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies a proven track record in cloud architecture and operations and the ability to lead a team of cloud professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the companys cloud strategy aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Oversee the design implementation and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and architects fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Manage cloud budgets optimize costs and ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate cloud solutions with other IT systems and business processes.
- Ensure the security compliance and reliability of cloud services in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and tools to enhance the companys cloud capabilities.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud environments.
- Monitor and report on cloud performance including metrics KPIs and service levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud computing with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform or similar.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture deployment models and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing cloud budgets and optimizing costs.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
