We are seeking an experienced Vice President Category to lead and drive category management for our FMCG division. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of category strategies P&L management and a track record of delivering growth in the FMCG sector. This role will involve overseeing product categories shaping strategic direction and ensuring the profitability and market share expansion of the assigned categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy: Develop and execute longterm category strategies to drive growth and profitability for the FMCG division.
- P&L Management: Full ownership of the P&L for assigned categories ensuring revenue targets margins and overall profitability are met.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research competitive analysis and consumer insights to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Product Management: Work closely with product teams to manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch ensuring alignment with market needs.
- Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies pricing and positioning for the category.
- Vendor & Supplier Relationships: Negotiate with key vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms ensuring the quality and costeffectiveness of products.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a highperforming category management team fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze category performance creating actionable insights and making datadriven decisions to enhance profitability.
- CrossFunctional Coordination: Work closely with supply chain logistics and finance teams to ensure seamless of category strategies.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 1015 years of experience in FMCG with a strong focus on category management.
- Proven track record of successful P&L management including revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior market trends and competitive landscapes in FMCG.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive results.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
