Job Description

Job Summary: The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation analysis and reporting of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with various departments to gather and analyze financial information preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders and supporting the overall financial planning and analysis process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements. Ensure reports are completed on time and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on your analysis to support decisionmaking.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards regulations and company policies. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and adjust reporting processes as necessary.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including accounting finance and operations to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies. Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

  • Financial Planning: Assist in the development of financial forecasts budgets and longterm financial plans. Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts highlighting significant variances.

  • System Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial reporting processes and systems. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certification (e.g. CPA CFA) is a plus.

  • Proven experience (3 years) in financial reporting analysis or a related role. Experience in specific industry or sector is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. Excel ERP systems). Experience with specific software is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
