Job Description:
The VP of Design at Augmentjobs will lead and manage the design team driving innovation and excellence in all design aspects. This role is pivotal in shaping the companys brand identity user experience and overall design strategy. The VP of Design will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure that design solutions meet business goals and user needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong design background proven leadership skills and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute the design strategy for Augmentjobs aligning with overall company goals and objectives. Lead mentor and inspire the design team to achieve highquality outcomes and foster a creative and collaborative environment.
Design Oversight: Oversee all design projects including user interface (UI) user experience (UX) graphic design and branding. Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables.
Innovation: Drive innovation in design practices keeping abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices. Implement new design tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and creativity.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management engineering marketing and other departments to integrate design solutions into product development processes and marketing campaigns. Ensure that design considerations are factored into project planning and .
UserCentered Design: Advocate for the user by employing usercentered design principles. Conduct user research usability testing and feedback analysis to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
Brand Identity: Maintain and evolve the companys brand identity ensuring that design elements align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate the companys values and vision.
Project Management: Manage design project timelines resources and budgets. Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope requirements and deliverables.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for design effectiveness and team performance. Monitor progress and implement improvements as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Design Graphic Design UX/UI Design or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a design leadership role with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and solutions.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a design team including mentoring coaching and providing constructive feedback.
Design Expertise: Strong understanding of design principles methodologies and best practices in UI/UX graphic design and branding.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite Sketch Figma or similar. Familiarity with frontend development technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) is a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members effectively.
ProblemSolving: Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to address design challenges.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
