Summary
The Electrical Engineer I is an entry level engineer who is responsible for multiple lowerlevel projects or a single large project that support the business through designing developing and testing electrical equipment and systems. This position develops and implements control logic programs schematics and panel designs through a variety of software programs with the oversight of a Lead or Electrical Engineer II. The Electrical Engineer I is also responsible for validating the electrical design for reliability performance and safety standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Electrical design activities to support the product line.
- PLC/PAC/OIT troubleshooting activities.
- Instrument configuration and programming as required to complete projects.
- Assist electrical team in conduit routing and installation details as required to complete department projects.
- Documentation activities to support the business needs which may include development of various operating instruction or manuals.
- Electrical mechanical and process installation and troubleshooting of simple projects to support the business. This may include the use of hand tools gauges multimeters and other measurement devices.
- Collaboration with customers as required to promote successful project including but not limited to discussion with customer engineers and FAT Protocol .
- Quotation development to support sales and marketing activities.
- Technical collaboration with other professional disciplines to support the business. Ensures lessons learned applied to future effort.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Additional
- Minimal occasional travel.
- Must have a valid drivers license for travel.
- Regular inperson attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Knowledge and familiarity with 3 phase power applications distribution and use. Knowledge and familiarity with the development and implementation of automated control systems. Knowledge and familiarity with solid state electronic component application.
- Knowledge and familiarity with using P&IDs to design process control systems. Experience with integration of wide range of process analytical equipment.
- Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design AutoCad preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in a service orientated environment with troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a mechanical aptitude that allows for effective communication of the product to our customers.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.
- 1 3 years of experience preferred.
- Technical experience in these fields may be acceptable in lieu of the degree.
