Job Description
Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure cloud architectures that meet business requirements emphasizing scalability security and performance.
- Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision manage and scale Azure cloud resources.
- Implement and manage ArgoCD for continuous deployment and GitOps practices ensuring automated and reliable application delivery pipelines.
- Design and deploy service mesh architectures using Istio for secure reliable and observable microservices communication.
- Utilize Rancher to manage Kubernetes clusters at scale ensuring smooth containerized workloads across environments.
- Oversee Kubernetes (K8s) clusters ensuring high availability scaling and workload orchestration.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (DevOps developers security) to align cloud architectures with project needs and optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Azure security best practices including identity and access management (IAM) encryption and network security.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud applications.
- Mentor and guide teams on cloudnative architecture and tools promoting best practices and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role with a strong focus on Azure cloud services.
- Handson expertise with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Proficient in setting up ArgoCD for CI/CD and GitOps practices.
- Experience with Istio for service mesh implementations and microservices management.
- Strong working knowledge of Rancher for Kubernetes management and K8s for container orchestration and management.
- Deep understanding of cloud security network design and best practices in managing cloud environments.
- Experience working in DevOps environments with strong CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Azure certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for solving complex cloud infrastructure problems.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance
