Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements.
- Optimize applications for scalability speed and performance.
- Debug and resolve application defects and errors.
- Create and maintain databases and backend APIs.
- Keep abreast of Ruby on Rails updates and best practices.
- Contribute to code reviews and the continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong understanding of Ruby on Rails framework and its ecosystem.
- Proficient in writing clean modular and testable code.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms (e.g. Magento WooCommerce).
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience with frontend development frameworks (e.g. React Angular).
- Familiarity with cloudbased platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud).
