Packaging Engineer
Location: Paramus New Jersey United States
Job Description:
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for directing the engineering activities with the goal of continuously improving safety productivity yields process reliability and manufacturing costs. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of engineering principles and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism enthusiasm and desire to learn.
Essential Job Functions:
- The primary function of this job will be to manage and perform the validation and qualification of packaging and filling equipment and new packaging designs
- Troubleshoot and optimize the existing packaging and filling equipment to improve throughput and cost efficiency
- Perform freeze dryer startup and qualification as needed
- Program software and perform software validation on various types of equipment
- Participate in new equipment design selection and startup
- Improve overall equipment reliability for the Companys manufacturing operations
- Troubleshoot equipment performance issues including identification of root cause and prevention of reoccurrence
- Perform commissioning and qualification of new equipment
- Preparation and review of equipment qualification reports
- Supervision of outside vendor and contractor personnel
