Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension)

Performs underwriting analysis and risk assessment for new small group contracts and accountings

Prior experience in underwriting/accounting concepts pricing methodologies and/or funding arrangements.
Ability to work independently and in teams
Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations
Experience providing clear and concise written and verbal communications
Critical thinking detail oriented and strong analytical skills
Desire to learn
Collaborate with internal partners such as Actuarial and Sales

onboarding and training in JulyAug to be able to receive case load starting SeptDec

Performs underwriting analysis risk assessment for new and/or renewal of small or large group contracts. Assigned cases/book of business may be limited to a single (or minimal number of) products financial arrangements and/or rating methodologies. Prepares and delivers new business quotes and/or existing business renewals Reviews work with mentor/manager and respond to requests for pricing based on financial analysis underwriting principals and business strategy.

Utilizes basic functionality of underwriting tools systems and reference materials to produce accurate quotes renewals and/or accountings. Applies underwriting guidelines and escalates underwriting exceptions/financial variances for assigned cases to the appropriate level. Assists sales personnel in explaining rate/fee accounting balance development and communicating underwriting policy. Produces timely and accurate customerspecific documents deliverables and accounting related information. Assists department with projects or workgroups; identifies and supports process improvement through automation or process change.

Essential Qualifications and Functions:
12 years work experience
Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Demonstrated ability to utilize analytical and independent thinking skills.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations.
Experience providing clear and concise written and verbal communications.
Experience working with standard Microsoft Office products.

Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience.
