Job Description

The Role:
We are seeking Emergency Medicine Registrars (ACEM accredited) to join this dedicated team and embrace Western Australia's laid-back outdoor lifestyle and sunny climate.

  • The Emergency Department - prioritize excellent work-life balance, offering ED registrars 7 days off every 6 weeks as written into the roster.
  • A vibrant team culture, easy consultant accessibility, and hands-on procedural experience across the spectrum of emergency medicine cases including 20 to 25% paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and trauma.

About the Role:
  • Supportive and enthusiastic consultants, with a FACEM presence in ED for 16 hours per day
  • Compassionate and friendly nursing staff with great relationships with the ED medical team. (has been rated A for culture and morale by the AMA WA 5 years in a row.)
  • 24 months of ACEM-accredited advanced training (urban district) and paediatric logbook
  • Access to multiple rotations including critical care, anaesthetics, paediatrics, general medicine.
  • Active education programs with up to five hours of protected teaching time per week, including ED registrar CME and WBA sessions
  • Access to ASUM supervisors for completion of ultrasound logbooks
  • Multiple courses run by FACEMS EPICC workshop series, JUST ultrasound course, ACUTE emergency course, OSCE course.
  • Thorough preparation for the ACEM Primary and Fellowship exam with a track record of high success rates.
  • Accredited supervision for EMC/EMD candidates
