Scope of Services:
Background: As a result of the Departments efforts to reengineer and modernize core financial systems there has been over 1500 computing assets identified as performing some level of financial planning analysis and management functionality that are impacted by the State of Floridas accounting system. The Florida Planning Accounting and Ledger Management (PALM) project is a multiyear endeavor to replace the State of Floridas accounting and cash management systems with a modern financial management solution. The Florida PALM Project is targeted to replace Central Payroll and Departmental FLAIR functionality with golive scheduled for January 6 2026. The DBA team is responsible for ensuring the application and processing architectures data dictionaries and database schemas meet the department standards for data requirements. The candidate in this position will be responsible for assisting in the design development amendments and optimization of the schema to meet system(s) requirements. The candidate must be able to understand and demonstrate the ability to develop database and warehousing design across multiple platforms and computing environments. The candidate must be able to work as part of a team to assist in developing an overall data architecture that supports industry security standards.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Required Experience:
The candidate must have skill and 15 years combined experience in database administration for the following database platforms:
