Tax Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team and oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning related to our real estate operations. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal state and local tax laws maximizing tax efficiency and providing strategic tax advice to support our business objectives. A background in Agriculture would be highly beneficial as we explore opportunities in agricultural real estate development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of real estate tax compliance including preparation and filing of tax returns estimates and extensions.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and risks.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors auditors and legal counsel on tax matters.
• Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on taxrelated issues.
• Stay current on tax laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.
• Assist in due diligence efforts for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Support financial reporting and budgeting processes as they relate to tax matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
• CPA or advanced degree is required.
• 5 years of progressive experience in tax compliance and planning with a focus on real estate taxation.
• Strong understanding of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with tax research tools and software.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
