SQL Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

Database Administration:

• Install configure and maintain various database platforms (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL MS SQL).
• Perform regular backups and recoveries to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues.
• Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Manage user accounts and access controls.
• Optimize database performance through indexing tuning and query optimization.
• ETL Development and Management:
• Design and implement ETL pipelines using ETL tools (SSIS Talend).
• Extract data from various sources (e.g. databases APIs flat files).
• Transform data to meet specific business requirements.
• Load data into the data warehouse efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor and maintain ETL jobs for optimal performance.
• Document ETL processes and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with data analysis and reporting projects as needed.
• Stay uptodate on the latest database technologies and trends.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth data integration and analysis.

Qualifications:

• 4 to 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proven experience with ETL development and implementation using industrystandard tools.
• Strong understanding of SQL programming and database concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
