Work Type: Full Time Office Position (1 day per month remote working)
Salary: £23000 £25000 (DOE)
We are looking to recruit a motivated Housing Disrepair Legal Assistant to join an ambitious Liverpool City Centre based firm with national reach that is looking to bolster their already strong and dedicated Housing Disrepair team.
This role would be suitable for a candidate who would be looking for a future Training Contract undertaking a law degree or Filex qualification and consideration would be given to an experienced legal secretary looking for a new challenge.
Responsibilities
Assist and carry out daily tasks as instructed by your Solicitor
Sending Letters of Claim
Maintaining diary management
Corresponding with the clients
Maintaining good client relationships
Instructing counsel and drafting briefs
Reviewing disclosure
Undertaking legal research
To instruct and chase suppliers
Requirements
Experience in handling HDR (or other claims) files and dealing with an array of Housing Disrepair issues from inception to conclusion(desirable but not essential)
Legal Secretarial/Assistance Experience (desirable not essential)
Experience of working to deadlines with a minimum of supervision
Experience with Proclaim or similar CMS (desirable but not essential)
Have an ability to plan and prioritise your workload
To have worked with Microsoft Excel Word & Outlook
Good people skills for teamwork and building relationships with coworkers and clients
Good written and spoken communication skills
