Job Description

This is a remote position.

Job Title: Medical VA (Patient Liaison/Medical Biller)

Location: Remote

About Us: Virtual Rockstar is a leading provider of virtual support services dedicated to helping healthcare professionals streamline their administrative tasks and improve patient care. We are currently seeking a detailoriented and highly organized Medical Virtual Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Use HelloNote (EMR) and HighLevel VMM for phone scheduling and client management.
  • Create and manage patient charts upload documents and verify insurance information.
  • Reconcile billing and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents handle faxing and monitor charts to ensure plans of care are returned.

Appointment Management:

  • Confirm patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
  • Handle patient inquiries via phone and email.
  • Maintain and update patient records.
  • Manage referrals from other healthcare providers and send personalized communications.

Insurance and Billing:

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain preauthorizations for procedures.
  • Update patient files with insurance information and liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details.
  • Track the status of pending insurance claims and assist patients with insurancerelated queries.
  • Generate and send invoices follow up on unpaid claims post payments to patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Review and appeal denied claims ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations and generate billing reports for management.

Additional Tasks:

  • Social media management experience is a plus.
  • Data entry and generating basic reports.
  • Answer calls and assist patients virtually.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using HelloNote (EMR) and HighLevel VMM.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing insurance verification and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with social media management is a plus.
