Senior Software Testing Specialist

Main Job Purpose:
As a Senior Software Testing Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive testing to verify that our software meets both client requirements and company standards. By meticulously analysing and assessing our software you will contribute to delivering exceptional products that exceed user expectations.

Employment Specification:
Education & Experience (minimum requirements to perform the job):
School: Grade 12 Certificate
Post School: While a bachelor’s degree in computer science Software Engineering Information Technology or a related field is preferred it is not mandatory for this position.
•
ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certifications such as CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) and CTALTA (Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst) demonstrate proficiency in software testing methodologies.
•
Relevant certifications in test automation tools.
•
Additional certifications in Agile methodologies such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) will be beneficial.
Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience
Driver License: Valid driver’s license required

Technical Skills:
•Proficiency in software testing methodologies and best practices.
•Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
•Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium Cypress or Protractor.
•Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. C# Java) and web technologies.
•Experience in testing both desktop and web applications.
•Ability to use Azure DevOps for test management and collaboration.
•Capability to draft procedures to address gaps in testing processes.
•Proficiency in automation to expedite reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
•Identify whether products are functional reliable and that the final product satisfies required client and user expectations.
•Design implement and execute test plans.
•Facilitate the testing quality assurance and control process of products from development to production.
•Test and analyse software applications/programs (propriety/third party).
•Identify and facilitate defect resolution with development team.
•Identify areas of improvement to enhance the users experience and product’s efficiency.
•Document and communicate test results.
•Assist with product support.
•Utilize Azure DevOps for test management collaboration and reporting.
•Draft procedures to address gaps in testing processes and improve efficiency.
•Assist with automation initiatives to expedite reporting processes and streamline workflows.
•Verify product delivery against user requirements and functional specifications or deliverables.
