Heavy Duty Mechanic

We seek a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Chatham ON Canada team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment such as trucks and onroad equipment.

This is a fulltime permanent position with competitive pay and benefits.

Pay rate will be $41.92. $1000 yearly tool allowance $500 yearly boot allowance.

RRSP match

Shift timing: Days and Afternoon rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including but not limited to engines transmissions and hydraulics

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs

Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for repairs and maintenance

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment

Keep work area clean and organized

Stay uptodate with industry advancements and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

Red Seal Certification or equivalent experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic

Minimum of 2 years of experience working on heavy equipment

Strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulic systems and electrical systems

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Valid drivers license
