Job Description
We are seeking Commercial Managers to join our LPS team. These roles predominantly involve supporting inlife contracts with one role focusing primarily on new bid precontract functions. The selected individuals will provide proactive commercial support to their assigned accounts. While the majority of the work involves inlife contract management candidates should be adept in both inlife contract management and working on a healthy pipeline of bid activities as collaboration is a key aspect of the LPS team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support:
  • Assist the sales team to secure profitable and deliverable new business.
  • Provide commercial support in deal shaping negotiations and contracting.
  • Review pricing of existing and new business proposals to ensure alignment with company margin risk and contingency provisions.
Contract Management:
  • Ensure all customer and supplier bids/contracts are approved and reviewed in line with deal approval governance and policy prior to submission/signature.
  • Identify manage and report on key commercial/legal risks (with ongoing liaison with the Legal function).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for principal client contracts and provide inlife client contract management support.
  • Review interpret and advise on existing contract rights and obligations.
  • Lead change management of contracts including the production of BAU contract variations.
  • Support the production of regular contract reporting in line with governance and contract requirements.
  • Ensure contract records are maintained and accessible.
  • Record ratify and circulate commercial/negotiation meeting minutes as needed.
  • Support the business by managing and performing ongoing contract administration.
SubContractor and Client Management:
  • Support subcontractor relationship management.
  • Support due diligence and MI/audit data request activities.
  • Work as part of clientspecific management teams managing a pipeline of activity and contributing to clientspecific strategy review and performance.
  • Support exit activities for the LPS subaccounts with exiting clients.
Reporting Structure:
  • Functionally reports to a Senior Commercial Manager in a particular subaccount (e.g. Scotland) and ultimately to the LPS Commercial Director.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
  • Desirable 2 years experience in contracts management with a demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre and postcontract activity.
  • Good understanding of bid preparation and submission processes (ITT RFP BAFO).
Skills:
  • Ability to identify and analyze key commercial risks such as KPIs SLAs contractual dependencies and milestones.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and its application in SW/IT/BPO/Professional Services environments.
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR.
  • Basic financial acumen (P&L cashflow balance sheet) and understanding of financial modeling contract pricing and differing pricing models.
  • Proficiency in producing reports and summaries for senior and noncommercial audiences.
Qualifications:
  • Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent through demonstrable experience.
  • WorldCC Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner accreditation is a plus but not essential.
