GIS Database Architect

Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a skilled GIS Database Architect to join our team.
• As a GIS Database Architect you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining GIS databases to support spatial data management and analysis activities.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database design and spatial data management.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Designing implementing and maintaining the GIS data environment for enterprise data.
• Redesigning and optimizing existing GIS databases
• Creating implementing and documenting data standards
• Managing Esri ArcGIS Enterprise GIS Databases within the SQL Server environment.
• Develop data models and database schemas to support spatial data analysis and visualization.
• Optimize database performance for spatial queries and data processing tasks.
• Collaborate with GIS analysts developers and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate database solutions.
• Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of spatial data.
• Document database designs data models and data workflows for reference and training purposes.
