Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Solihull
Job Type: 3 Months
Job Description
Main purpose of the job:
- Customer satisfaction management in the area of fulfilling its quality expectations by ensuring the proper quality of the delivered products as well as services and service.
- Ensures the quality of the components in the dedicated area consistent with expectations specified in the specification.
- Proves with his actions and attitude that he fully feels responsible for the purpose of the position.
Main missions and results:
- Plans organizes and conducts activities within its area in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives of the production plant.
- Reports deviations from the standard and takes appropriate measures and corrective actions.
- Take action to achieve the operational objectives set out in quality plans and indicators (KPIs).
Responsible for limiting losses by:
- Explaining the causes of noncompliance in products and components
- Preventing incompatibilities in products and components
- Implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible for conducting internal audits.
- Creates qualitative documentation related to the process and the product as well as the quality management system.
- Train advises and supports the production area from all aspects of quality while at the same time building a quality awareness in the organization.
- Conducts internal quality trainings raising the quality awareness of colleagues.
- Coresponsible for the costs of poor quality and strives to eliminate them.
- Apply Quality core tools to improve Customer satisfaction and prevent quality concerns.
- Maintain and operate within IATF 16949 quality system requirements in addition to customer specific requirements.
- Understand customer requirements / expectations in detail and then communicate to the internal team in order that the requirement if fully understood.
- Responsible for providing information and reports on the current implementation of tasks to its superior.
- Responsible for undertaking corrective actions in the event of noncompliance with the product / process requirements.
- Cocorresponds for new projects implemented in the company through active participation and opinions on projects in the subordinate.
Empowerment
- Is authorized to immediately stop work if an immediate threat to life health or fire hazard is detected.
- Is authorized to keep a defective batch of components in case of noncompliance.
- Is authorized to choose special characteristics.
Quality
- knowledge of best practice procedures regarding quality management measures and tools for quality improvement.
- Has knowledge about the requirements of the IATF 16949 management system.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 2 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department on engineering position or 3 years experience in quality department in production sector
- Engineer degree or technical college degree with 3 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- IATF 16949 training or 1 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- SPC training or 1 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- MSA training or 1 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- FMEA training or 1 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- APQP training or 1 years experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- PPAP or 1 year experience in automotive production sector in quality department
- Audits ISO19011 training or 1 years in automotive production sector (IATF16949 VDA)
- English communicative level
- Customer orientation
- Analytical approach to problems
- Knowledge of problemsolving techniques
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
